Monthly Advice and Counsel Clinic
MVLP provides free legal advice every month through walk-in clinics. Attorneys are on hand to answer your legal questions and advise you on how to best proceed if you are representing yourself. If qualified under program guidelines, the MVLP will refer your case to an attorney for extended representation if possible.
The MVLP Advice and Counsel Clinics are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m at Flatline Church at Chisholm, 2938 Lower Wetumpka Rd, Montgomery, AL 36110.
The MVLP Advice and Counsel Clinics are held on the second Thursday of each month from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m at Strong Tower at Washington Park, 2840 Boys Club Rd, Montgomery, AL 36108.

What You Need to Bring With You to the Clinic:
- All paperwork associated with your legal matter. Includes any correspondence, records of payment, court documents, etc. This will enable the attorney to have a clear understanding of your case and allow him/her to provide you with the best advice.
- The names, addresses and contact information of any adverse parties. For domestic relations issues, this would mean your current or former spouse; for consumer issues (collections, etc.), the opposing party; for housing/landlord issues, the landlord or agency with whom you have a dispute; for probate matters, information on any family members, etc.
- Any other information important to your case. If you think there is any other information that would be helpful to the attorney, please bring it with you to the clinic.
